Love Island Star Olivia Attwood Filming New Show in Greece
Former Love Island star and TV personality Olivia Attwood has landed a huge new reality dating show and is filming in Greece.
The villa favorite, 33, has become one of the franchise’s biggest breakout stars since finding fame in 2017. She now has a spot on the Loose Women panel, has fronted her own hit documentaries, and appeared on I’m A Celebrity, although the latter was cut short due to illness.
Now, she’s readying to be back on the screen with another huge project, writing on Instagram last night “Guys…I have been keeping a secret. BTS from my brand new ITV reality show…you’re not ready (I don’t actually think I am).”
Pictures show the star in front of a large crew speaking to the camera, sitting in the hair and makeup chair, and analyzing footage in the editing room. Attwood is being paid a six-figure sum to host the show, according to the Daily Mail.
“Olivia is over the moon, [and] she could have never predicted after starring on Love Island as a contestant to one day be presenting her own dating series,” a TV source told The Sun. “It’s a dream come true for her, and she can’t wait for viewers to fall in love with the format and hopefully enjoy watching the show as much as she has [enjoyed] shooting it.”
Fans are excited to see the finished product. One person commented on the Instagram post saying: “Slay. Is this Barbie taking over ITV.”
Olivia Attwood’s success before filming in Greece
Earlier this year, The Sun revealed Attwood could be set to take America by storm after holding talks with TV bosses stateside, and, in an exclusive interview, she said that she’s been offered opportunities on the other side of the Atlantic.
“I’ve had conversations with people who have formats ready to go in the US,” she explained. “Again, it’s a timing thing. I’ve had to literally be like, ‘okay, I can’t come to the US and do this job tomorrow, but please let you get me, because at some point I would love to explore that.'”
“Having said that, I’m not rushing to do that because I’m very happy with the way things are going here,” she stated. “I feel very grateful.”
Last year, she was name-checked by ITV’s Head of Reality TV Paul Mortimer as the future of the channel at The Edinburgh TV Festival.
She’s since made her Loose Women debut and hosted a very successful documentary series called The Price of Perfection, shining a light on Gen Z’s obsession with procedures and the potential pitfalls.
It has not been revealed which part of Greece Attwood is filming in or where the show will be hosted. Greece plays host to a number of international and Greek reality TV shows, including Big Brother, Bake Off Greece, Dancing on Ice, Rising Star, Fame Story, The X Factor, Survivor Greece, Super Idol, and many more.
